Final Design

Fabrication
Tracey Moffat 'Something More'Fabrication is linked with creation, both natural and artificial. I decided to use elements of both. I looked into birth as the basis of natural creation to create the form of the studio. For artificial creation, I decided to focus on the man made creation of materials and the idea of man made perfection. The contradiction of these two concepts of fabrication can be seen through the opposing forms of natural free-formed shapes and the artificial ideal of linearity.

Infinity
Rosalie Gascoigne 'White City'
Infinity is the concept of something that will continue on perpetually. To create the idea of infinity in the artist studio, I decided to form an illusion of infinity through line and vectors. The idea of infinity was created through the continuation and repetition of lines throughout the form and the sense of not being able to see where things begin and end.
